You need to listen Just for a Day. It’s really cool. Lead single “Spanish Air” and “Celia’s Dream” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On Just for a Day album, Slowdive have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. IT makes me wanna dance!
Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Catch the Breeze. Ballad of Sister Sue is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Erik’s Song is probably the most interesting track on Just for a Day. Slowdive has astounded me with this amazing track. Brighter - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Primal is possibly the best song Slowdive has come up.
